This original design was created in the 1960s and was made with Mary Maxim Starlette yarn, which included 140 yards per 2-oz skein. Experience the endless possibilities of creating this unique fringed jacket pattern with the wide range of worsted-weight yarns available today. Have fun with the colors, make it fun and funky! Please note, yardage may differ between brands. We recommend Premier Anti-Pilling Everyday Worsted for this project! Materials List All Sizes: MC (10 oz.) Gold, CC1 Med Brown (2 oz), CC2 Owl Head/Lt Brown (2 oz.), CC3 Owl Face Cream (20 yds), CC4 Stick Dk Brown (10 yds), 36" circular knitting needles size 8 (5.0 mm), and a set of double pointed needles 8 (5 mm). Fits children's sizes 2-4-6—Intermediate knit. Patterns for Owl Cardigan, Cottontail Cardigan, Raccoon Cardigan, and Raccoon Fringe sweaters sold separately.
Stitch Requirements: Knit, purl, increase, decrease, repeat, colour changes, cast off, stockinette stitch.

some splitting of metallic thread from main yarn
The wool was very fine but great to knit.There was one ball that I started with was full of knots that I had to cut out as I hate joining another ball to continue my work.Other then that the other balls were all fine.
