Create this stunning cabled afghan using Mary Maxim worsted-weight yarn. Originally created with Mary Maxim Best Value, a worsted-weight yarn, which offered 294 yds per skein at that time. Discover our extensive selection of worsted yarns, including Best Value. Please note color options and yardage have changed. Materials List: 11 skeins, also requires knitting needle size U.S. 9 (5.5 mm) and crochet hook size U.S. J-10 (6 mm). Finished size 48 x 60" (122 x 152.5 cm)—Intermediate knit.
Stitch Requirements: Cast on, cast off, knit, purl, increase, decrease, repeat, slip, chain, single crochet, place marker, C4B, C4F, T3R, T3L, C6B, C2B, gull stitch.

Great pattern! I was told it would be hard to follow as a beginner knitter, but I very much enjoy the simplicity of it. It's explaining without holding your hand, it's straight to the point and easy to reference visually. I'm lucky enough to live in a time where the internet exists, and I have a bunch of youtube tutorials I can refer to if and when I need them (shoutout RJ Knits, their videos are very easy to follow and understand!) Overall, I'm excited about this project, even though I really threw myself into the deep end, going from a couple scarves twenty years ago straight to a colourwork cardigan, but there's no better motivation than "I saw it in a movie and I want it!"
