Crochet this cozy hooded jacket (pictured left) using our treasured vintage pattern. Featuring roomy pockets, a warm hood, long sleeves, and a classic button‑front design, it’s the perfect blend of comfort and cozy, timeless style that kids love. Originally created with Mary Maxim’s best‑selling worsted‑weight yarn, Starlette, this project offered easy care, soft warmth, and beautiful stitch definition. At the time, Starlette provided 280 yards per 4 oz skein, making it a reliable choice for garments that stand the test of time. Explore our extensive selection of worsted‑weight yarns—including the ever‑popular Starlette—to find the perfect color for your child. Keep in mind, yardages can vary by brand. Materials List: Sizes 8-10 (20 oz), Sizes 12-14 (24 oz), crochet hook sizes F/5 (3.75 mm) and H/8 (5.50 mm). Fits sizes 8-10-12-14—Intermediate crochet. Pattern PDL8271_72 (pictured right) is sold separately.
Stitch requirements: Chain, single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, decrease, increase, repeat, slip stitch, through the back loop.
