Knit a classic Mary Maxim bulky sweater featuring a bold basketball theme. This easy‑to‑follow graph‑style pattern includes all the essentials for a comfortable fit—pockets, raglan sleeves, optional shawl, windbreaker, or flat collar, and firm ribbing for a polished finish. Originally designed with Mary Maxim Titan, which offered 80 yards per 3 oz skein. Explore our full range of bulky yarns, including Titan, to choose the perfect colours for your favorite team. Yardage may vary. Fits sizes 32–36. Intermediate knit.

I liked the look of this blanket enough to order three different colours. Then I realized it was a stitch I wasn’t familiar with. That set my brain back a wee bit, but I found a great tutorial by Dora Does https://doradoes.co.uk that explains the stitch in a variety of ways - video, written and photo. I work best with written and photo and now I am happily creating the first blanket.
It is working up to make an excellent winter weight baby blanket, to which I will add a sweater and hat in the same yarn.
