This stunning Aran Isle coat pattern showcases intricate cable work and traditional Aran designs throughout. With its elegant styling, comfortable raglan sleeves, practical button front, and distinctive large flat collar, this knitting project delivers both exceptional warmth and head-turning style that will make you the envy of onlookers. Designed using Mary Maxim Starlette worsted weight yarn for a lighter look and feel. Starlette boasted 140 yds on a 2 oz skein at the time. Discover our extensive worsted collection in all your favorite colours to choose from, including Mary Maxim Starlette! Keep in mind, yardage varies. Materials List: 22 skeins, knitting needles size U.S. 5 (3.75 mm) and 8 (5 mm), and cable needle. Fits ladies up to 40" bust—Intermediate knit.
Stitch Requirements: Knit, purl, slip stitch, stockinette stitch, increase, decrease, slip stitch, chain, single crochet, half double crochet, treble crochet, work even, through the back loop, repeat, place marker, cable left, cable right, cable back, cable front, make bobble.

I love the way this looks! The yarn sometimes feels a bit "waxy" (for want of a better word) but otherwise it is coming together very nicely.
I have made this for my granddaughter. It is beautiful and once you get the hang of the pattern, fairly easy. I made a pillow to match. The blanket, I crocheted a trim around the blanket, one row of each colour. Finished it off beautifully!
