Originally created with Mary Maxim Titan, a bulky yarn offering 80 yards per 3 oz skein at the time, this pattern pairs beautifully with our full range of bulky yarns. Explore the collections and choose the perfect fiber for your project—just be sure to factor in yardage differences as you plan. Fits sizes 38-40-42-44—Intermediate knit.
Note: the pattern calls for 3 different colours. So we will list the amounts needed of each. Or you can do it in 2 colours, as we have shown in the colorized sample image.

Main Colour Lt Grey 10 (11 skeins)
CC Brown 2 skeins
CC Dk Grey 2 skeins
Knitting needles: Sizes U.S. 6 (4.25 mm) and 9 (5.50 mm).
One heavyweight open-end zipper.
Stitch Requirements: Cast on, cast off, knit, purl, stockinette stitch, increase, decrease, colour changes using Fair Isle and coloured pattern knitting methods.

This pattern turned out perfectly. The finished item worked out to the finished measurements and the wool washed and dried beautifully.
I finished it in time for the baby’s arrival.
However I did have a problem starting the pattern….which was my problem and not the directions. I ended up re-writing the directions myself. I could not get my brain around the way the pattern was written…..confusing to me. But once I re-wrote I was up and running.
It is a beautiful baby blanket and I think it will be cherished.
