Beautiful soft texture. It knits up easily and is so comfortable on the hands. If some brighter colours are introduced in the future this will definitely be my go to yarn in place of wool.

Very easy to do and very cute. I added a bit of clean aquarium gravel to the base when stuffing so it stands up a bit more firmly.

The pattern is wonderful but I used the cheaper MM yarn because the colours matched better. I just doubled the strands. I love it because it turned out just like the cover model.

I have not completed this project yet, but I can comment on the printed pattern.
I cannot find the difficulty rating on the pattern, but I believe an Easy label would be appropriate. The blanket itself is made using single crochet stitch - nothing fancy, any beginner could do it. The complexity comes from the different colour for each block and the motifs sown on top. And yes, it is a blanket made by assembling a few squares together and then sowing the motifs on the top. The motifs also appear to be very simple to make, and an adventurous beginner could do it (the stitches here include single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet - again, nothing too difficult). There is a graphic aid on the last page to show you how to assemble the pieces together.

I haven't completed this project yet, but I can comment on the pattern.
This pattern consists first in doing the "plain" blanket, then doing the whale and clouds, and sticthing those on top of the blanket.
The pattern is 4 pages in total, all text, and no visual graphic pattern. The text seems easy to follow and clear. I think this is an intermediate pattern only because it requires sowing the whale on top of the blanket. The stitches themselves are fairly simple - I think the "hardest" stitch is a 2 double stitch together...

I have not completed this pattern yet, but I can comment on the quality of the pattern. The pattern appears to be clear. There are 62 rows in total. Each one is detailed in clear language. The stitches are intermediate in level because there are a few back posts and front post stitches (to created the 3D textures). The document is 6 pages in length and there is no visual diagram for the pattern - it's all text. I am looking forward to doing this. I think I will do some of the rows in different colours, to give this blanket a little umph ;)

I love the Caron One Pound Yarn. It comes in lots of colours. It's budget friendly. And the yarn is softer than the Red Heart Saver yarn, so it is nicer on your hands when you work with it, and your final work is softer. The yarn is good quality and its threads stay together so that it is easy to work with it.
