Such a soft silky hand to work with this yarn. Simply gorgeous. I used the blue varigated stripe to make the "Woven Cables Cocoon and Hat pattern (MM). In my opinion, there wasn't enough body/structure in the yarn to do the collar in that pattern justice. But the yarn was luxurious.

A beautiful lace pattern. A new challenge for anyone wanting something different to try in your crochet and knit skills. Not something for inexperienced needleworkers to try until they get a few afghans done in their reptoires. I left off the fringe as not really an appreciated aesthetic for me and just as gorgeous. I gave the finished afghan to a friend as a birthday gift in a soft merle grey for her classic living room decor.

Great price value. The yarns glide easily over the needles. The needle points slide under even the tightest of tension stitches with minimal incidence of yarn separation. This product meets all expectations.

I have bought this yarn in four colours now (Bear, Fox, Merle grey), including "Baked Alaska". Combined with the "Bisciut the Bear Pattern" you can't go wrong. So much fun and pleasure. I am looking forward to using this Baked Alaska to next try making a "Peter Rabbit", Can you imagine?!

I have been a customer of Mary Maxim (MM) since I was a highschool student (decades ago) when the only way to order was mail order catalogue. MM has had consistent excellent customer service over all that time. I have never had any outcome even with questions or concerns that weren't expediently and satisfactorily resolved. Their craft/hobby product offerings are wide and of reliably high quality. They are fast, efficient and accurate in getting out their orders. In all that time I have never had any problems with any order, nor ever been disappointed in the products. Not many companies can excell and maintain that reputation over that many years. Truly, a Canadian company to be proud of!

Cute pattern. The instructions were well written and accompanied by step by step pictures to ensure comprehension of the process. Who doesn't love a highland cow?! Great pattern for the young or those with an inner child they still need to satisfy or thrill (I made it as both a "new big sister" gift for my niece and a "study buddy" for my univeristy mature adult daughter). I embroidered the eyes to ensure no small parts came off to be swallowed by the little brother infant! so much fun to make.

So adorable! Well written patterns that have obviously been well tested and editted. Easy to follow directions. The bulky chenille yarns were perfect for this pattern and also easy to work with; so cuddly. I can imagine trying these patterns in a combination of chenille and faux yarn or just faux yarns as well. I think anyone who purchases this kit will have great enjoyment in making the pair and even greater enjoyment out of seeing the responses of the child/person who is lucky enough to receive as a gift!

Puzzle storage boards are novel to me so I find it will need gettin used too as I am acustomed to sliding pieces about which you can't freely do on a puzzle board. The friction isrequired to hold the pieces in place while transporting and storing; leaving them as they were when put away (the enitre purpose of this product. The velcro closure is like a steel trap....very secure; takes a lot of strength to open. The product looks well made and only multiple open/close of the velcro will tell if the stitching and cardboard within holds up to the counter forces of opening the velcro. Dimensions are sufficient to hold the 1000 piece puzzle as claimed and all the pieces. Stores flat easily under a cabinet or bed (or piano as I did).
