Create a fun Turtle Vest using this classic vintage pattern, perfect for teachers or fun gifting! Originally designed with Mary Maxim Mellowspun yarn, which provided 420 yards per 4 oz skein, at the time. You can now explore our range of sport weight yarns, including Mellowspun—just note variations in yardage. Required materials include MC Pink (8 oz), CC White (80 yds), CC Dk Pink (10 yds), CC Green (20 yds), Black (2 yds), and knitting needles U.S. sizes 3 (3.25 mm) and 6 (4.25 mm). This intermediate-level pattern fits sizes 32 to 44, offering a flattering, versatile fit.
Stitch Requirements: Knit, purl, repeat, increase, decrease, stockinette stitch, cast on, cast off.

Love it so much I got another one!
Absolutely LOVE Bernat Blanket Yarn. It’s super soft and is simple to wash. It’s the only yarn I use when making blankets to give for the senior citizens through a group called ‘Smiles for Seniors’. I love Mary Maxim for the fabulous prices on the yarn. I stock up when I see it on sale as each blanket takes a minimum of 5 large skeins. Many thanks for continuing to carry it.
