Create a treasured keepsake with this vintage crochet pattern for a Christening robe or short dress. Perfect for honoring a special day of faith, this timeless design lets you craft a beautiful, personalized garment that becomes a cherished family heirloom. Created using Mary Maxim Twinkle, a #2 light sport-weight yarn that provided 175 yds per 1 oz skein. We still offer this fan-favorite, although yardage has changed, offering 230 yds/1.75 oz. You'll need 6 oz for the short dress, and 9 oz for the long, and a crochet hook size U.S. E/4 (3.50 mm). Fits infants sizes 3 mo, 6 mo, and 1 yr—Intermediate crochet.
Stitch Requirements: Chain, single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, treble crochet, decrease, increase, repeat, slip stitch, through the back loop.
