Bring joy to the little soldier in your family with this exceptional afghan. Crafted in panels using the tunisian or afghan stitch and then beautifully embroidered, it measures 48 x 68" (122 x 173 cm), making it the perfect size for coziness to snuggle up to. Originally created in 1960 with Mary Maxim Mellowspun or Mellowmist, it had 420 yds per skein. We suggest using Mary Maxim's Mellowspun DK Sportweight yarn for optimum results. Please note, colors and yardage have changed. Materials List: MC (26 oz.), CC1 Pants (10 oz.), CC2 Jacket (2 oz.), CC3 Hat (2 oz.), CC4 Lapels, CC5 White (80 yds). Also, requires an Afghan Hook U.S. size K-10.5 (6.5 mm). Easy crochet.
Stitch Requirements: Afghan or Tunisian crochet stitch, chain, embroidery stitches.
