Crochet this amazing patriotic afghan using our vintage graph-style pattern. Originally made using sport-weight yarn, Mary Maxim Mellowspun, which had 420 yards per skein. You will find Mary Maxim Mellowspun and all the current sport-weight yarn selections on www.marymaxim.com. Please note that yardages may have changed. Materials List: MC (40 oz), CC1 yellow ( 40 yds), CC2 Dk Yellow (25 yds), CC3 Blue (15 yds), CC4 (Red (10 yds), CC5 Brown (10 yds), CC6 Green (5 yds), 1 hank grey embroidery floss, 13 star appliques, tapestry needle, and afghan hook size K/10.5 (6.50 mm). Finished size 48 x 68" (122 x 173 cm)—Intermediate crochet.
Stitch Requirements: Chain, afghan stitch, and embroidery stitches.
