I love this yarn for baby blankets! Soft, squishy and works up quickly. Also pretty reasonably priced, with 220 yards per ball.
The sweater pattern that I wanted to make used jewelspun aran but I was initially reluctant to purchase it because of the cost. I was checking out some alternatives but couldn't really find anything very comparable. Then I found it on Mary maxim for much less than anywhere else ( $19.99 per skein compared to $26.99 other places) and ordered it. So happy that I waited and went with the jewelspun - gorgeous colorway and beautiful quality! Well worth the extra bit of expense.

The play on the original granny square pattern first caught my attention; I think it becomes less “foofy” and is nice for guys. The red/gray combo was the only one available at the time but it is quite rich and lovely and suitable for anyone.

Yarn is very soft and nice to work with. I like working from the middle of the ball and I wish this had a marked starting point for that. Otherwise perfect.
I find this yarn beautiful and doesn’t hurt my hands as quickly as some cotton yarns do.
This is a lovely blanket that is very quick to knit. The Bernat Baby Blanket yarn is so wonderfully soft. I'm not a very experienced knitter and found the blanket easy to knit once I got the hang of the cables. Would definitely make it again.
